Learn French, Make a Book
Creative Class for kids 6+
In this class, kids will learn early French skills through an engaging project. They will work as a team to publish a unique book they will be creating from scratch!
During this class, your kid will pick a theme, a main character, develop ideas and create illustrations. All of this will lead to a finished published book that they will be able to hold in their own hands and add it to their bookshelf.
As a live class, your kid will be able to participate, sharing ideas and their drawings, as well as work on their French pronunciation of the vocabulary they have learnt.
At the end of the class, each student will have the opportunity to get their bilingual book – something they can be proud of!
Create a bilingual book from scratch by picking the theme, the main character, their goal, coming up with ideas and drawing them to finally receive a high quality, bound book in the mail!
STEP 1
The roots of the book
- Picking the theme
- The main character and their name
- Their purpose in the book
STEP 2
The Storytelling
- Developing ideas and events that can happen to the main character
- Illustrate each page
- Learn French vocabulary linked to the story
STEP 3
Polishing the final book
- Picking the title of the book and the cover page
- Going through our book together
- Drawing a self portrait as a true artist
About the Instructor
Cindy
Cindy is a Franco-American writer living in the USA since 2013. She has two young bilingual kids and is inspired to help multicultural families with their unique experiences. She created the podcasts “Expat Families” and “Anecdote” that was picked by Apple Podcast France on their top new podcasts. She likes board games and writing short stories.
